  • What is substance abuse?
    The use of illegal drugs or the use of prescription or over-the-counter drugs or alcohol for purposes other than those for which they are meant to be used, or in excessive amounts.
  • What are the symptoms?
    Drug addiction symptoms or behaviors include, among others: Feeling that you have to use the drug regularly — daily or even several times a day Having intense urges for the drug that block out any other thoughts Over time, needing more of the drug to get the same effect Taking larger amounts of the drug over a longer period of time than you intended Making certain that you maintain a supply of the drug Spending money on the drug, even though you can't afford it Not meeting obligations and work responsibilities, or cutting back on social or recreational activities because of drug use Continuing to use the drug, even though you know it's causing problems in your life or causing you physical or psychological harm Doing things to get the drug that you normally wouldn't do, such as stealing Driving or doing other risky activities when you're under the influence of the drug Spending a good deal of time getting the drug, using the drug or recovering from the effects of the drug Failing in your attempts to stop using the drug Experiencing withdrawal symptoms when you attempt to stop taking the drug
  • What types of programs are available?
    North Campus: Residential Program: Males only, ages 13 - 35 yrs old. Outpatient Program: Males and Females, ages 13+ In-Home Program: Males and Females, ages 13+ South Campus: Outpatient Program: Males and Females, ages 13+ In-Home Program: Males and Females, ages 13+
  • How long is the program?
    Each program is different and has a sliding scale of points and/or criteria to meet.
  • What items do I need to bring?
    Basic clothing and hygiene products. No slides, hoodies.
  • Can loved ones bring items? What can they bring?
    Yes. They can bring clothes and hygiene products as long as they set an appointment with the family counselor beforehand. Food is not allowed and any other items that are deemed dangerous or counterproductive to treatment will be returned to the family by the family counselor.
  • Do you take insurance?
    We take most Medicaid HMOs.
  • What are your success rates?
    Residential Program 69% of juveniles and 61% of adults positively completed the program. 100% of juveniles were in school at discharge. 94% of adults and 100% of juveniles were “satisfied” with residential program services. Outpatient Program 78% of juveniles and 71% of adults positively completed the program. 79% of juveniles were in schoolat discharge. 100% of adults and 97% of juveniles were “satisfied” with outpatient program services. IHOS/In-Home Program 100% of juveniles and 100% of adults positively completed the IHOS program. 81% of juveniles were in school at discharge.
  • Can I leave when I want to?
    It is not a lockdown facility and we can only offer clinical advice against leaving.
  • Who will know I'm enrolled (confidentiality)?
    Only those that the client authorizes us to release information to, will know they are enrolled.
  • Can I work while in rehab?
    Clients are not permitted to engage in employment while in rehabilitation, as the program is designed exclusively for them to concentrate fully on their treatment.
  • Is detox the same as rehab?
    No, detox is the process of removing drugs or alcohol from the body and managing withdrawal symptoms. It's often the first step in rehab but doesn't address the psychological, social, and behavioral issues associated with addiction.
